The 2022 Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival - Keiki Kine at Kahala Mall will be held on August 27, 2022 at Honolulu's Kahala Mall in East O‘ahu. This festival will begin at 3 PM and will feature Keiki NextGen steel guitar players and musicians age 13 and older from Alan Akaka's Ke Kula Mele Hawai‘i School of Hawaiian Music, singing and playing Hawai‘i's favorite Hawaiian music.
Wearing facemasks in the common areas of Kahala Mall will be optional. Although emergency rules no longer mandate it, mask requirements for individual merchants may vary. These businesses have the right to create their own rules to ensure safety for their customers and employees, thank you for your cooperation.

This festival will be presented free to the public by Hawaii Institute for Music Enrichment and Learning Experiences (HIMELE) and the Kahala Mall. NextGen steel guitarists receive support from Breezy Ridge® Instruments, Ltd., the home of John Pearse® Strings.
